Several responses were given regarding the robin-like birds at my birdbath.
And, yes they were indeed, upon closer inspection when they
returned....robins. It's amazing how the eyes can all of a sudden see
something that was always there! I wasn't aware that there were two (would
you call it subspecies?) in this area. Turdus migratorus
propinquus(-females) along with t.m. carinus females were together at the
birdbath today. The eye marking is what is the distinguishing factor.
