Dale,

Lanner _Falco biarmicus_ is a large species of falcon (little larger than
a peregrine) found thoughout the Mediterranean Sea region. They somewhat
resemble a Prairie Falcon. They have long been a favorite of Falconers. I
was lucky enough to witness a Lanner nail a common teal from about 50
feet away in Israel in 1985.

Is there any specific information you need on this species? If so let me
know and I will try and track it down for you.
