I noticed they were offsets. Are you saying the odds against them
being correct are astronomical :)

The original post didn't mention the reference point, though, what
is it?

Also, the Oregonian prints a tide almanac for Astoria using Astoria
as a reference with offsets for other popular spots given.

I normally read the paper most mornings over coffee. I'm also
one of those people who always looses those little tide books
he buys when running up and down various parts of the coast :)

So when the latter occurs and I want to go up north for shorebirds,
it would be comforting to know I could figure out the tides just
by reading the time for Astoria in the morning paper...

Demanding, aren't I?
