Directions to Camus Creek Burn:

>From Seattle, cross Cascades on I-90, take route 97 (in CleEllum) north over
Swauk pass, about 14 miles after (i.e, north and downhill from) Swauk pass,
look for Camus Creek Rd on the right (east). The burn is about 1.5 miles up
this road on the north side, there's a logging road that turns into it and
one can park in this area.

If you cross the cascades on Rte 2, go left or south on Rte 97 towards Swauk
Pass and Camus Creek Road is about 6 miles south of the junction of 2 and 97
on the left (east).

see DeLorme p. 66, A-4, also described in Wahl/Paulson "Bird Finding
Guide..., page 116 in 1991 Edition, section F-3 entitled "Swauk Pass -
Blewett Pass area"

P.S. I was there for about 30 minutes midday on 11/4 on my way to Okanogan
County - stopped to have lunch, stretch, and listen for woodpeckers, it was
very quiet, except for one noisy Steller's Jay.
