I just heard third hand that there was a case where a farmer had to put a
culvert under a road to allow the gophers to cross the road. This sounds
more reasonable than having to build a whole system of tunnels. I am
checking another source to see if anyone has already researched this. As a
number of others have said, most of these horror stories are very one-sided
in their telling.
