Tom, I share your dislike for Bockwinkel and all the commercial
political prostitutes who buy and sell initiative signatures in the
malling of American, but we may be stuck with obscenity beneath the
ever-broadening branches of free speech. The Legislature passed a
law against paid signature solicitors several years ago but it was
quickly overturned by the courts on a stretch of the First
Amendment. Feel free to contact Ralph Munro in Olympia if you want
to hear a more erudite condemnation of this practice.
