Subject: Eagles

Greetings,

This afternoon at about 3:15 while traveling north on the Bayview Edison
Road about 1-1.5 miles north of the Braezeale Interpretive Center my father
and I saw a group of soaring 11-13 soaring eagles. I got out and got the
binoculars on them long enough to identify the grouping of mostly immature
eagles. A peregrine falcon also flew through the group. It was unusual
enough for me to think that Seattle Audubon might be interested. This is
the largest congregation of eagles I have seen on that road in one location.
Two were locking feet and tumbling for a short distance. Maybe they were
just practicing because they looked like immatures. It was an interesting
sighting.

Then to top off the afternoon, there was an immature sharp-shinned hawk
sitting in the tree next to the same feeder the dickcissle was under during
May. This is really God's country for birding.

You may call at my home if you wish further information. (360)766-6402
