Dale et al: I can assure you this woman was not and is not a "little old
lady". As I recall her, she is taller than I (6'2") and a good deal
huskier. I met her in my capacity
as the chairman of a committee that advised the California Department of
Fish & Game and the California Fish & Game Commission on matters relating
to the California Condor. When my family and I phoned ahead to get
directions to the facility she dominated, she sent a *police escort* to
lead our VW van the last few hundred yards! I was there to discuss the
captivity issue with her and her staff, and it was obvious she wanted to
impress me with more than data and the attractiveness of her cages.

I think it is reasonable for you to doubt my veracity on this matter, but
I can assure you I have the data straight, including her relationship the
the then sitting President (and remember, she is his *Goddaughter*, not
biological issue). I am not interested in mentioning names, and intend
to get no closer to that than I have above. I do
not know the color(s) of the helicopters that were involved.
