Subject: Raccoons, I just don't understand

First thing this morning I discovered two small ( this springs hatch )
raccoons curled up in a ball in the top of a dogwood. This tree is next
to two bird feeders and a squirrel feeder. Now, the squirrels often drop
nuts and whatever on the ground and the local black shirts ( crows ) do a
good job cleaning up after them. I just knew the crows would discover
the coons and I'd have no peace. Well, it happened except the crows only
announced the interlopers then forgot the whole issue. Right now, as I
look out my window from this keyboard, there are three crows in the tree
looking at me. They are not the slightest bit interested in the coons.

Do I have a new breed of crow? Is there some new relationship between
crows and coons? I just don't understand.
