Hey Tweeters: Today I felt like Jacques Cousteau as a rush of
excitement came over me. Just as Janet Hardin of Port Townsend,
Washington, recently said, " Hanging out with other Red Necked Grebes
near the Washington State ferry Dock in Winslow is what appears to be
an albino Red Necked Grebe." I followed the grebe for about a half
hour as it displayed "typical" grebe behavior. It has a beautiful
yellow beak, and is totally white with a little dark coloration right
under the tip of it's tail. It has beautiful bright yellow legs and I
think dark eyes as I was in a small boat and my eyes aren't as good as
they used to be , bobbin on the water. I took my video camera that
only has a 12x zoom but I got within 200 feet several times and have
about 8 minutes of film showing , "The Mystery Bird" Captain
