A peaceful day on the Clark Campus as there are no students
about--faculty workday. Approximately 40 gulls on the lawn: 3
Californias including the first first year I;ve seen on campus this year,
one really dark Western, and assorted glaucous-winged and glaucous-winged
x Westerns. One of the third year birds has an injured foot and was here
the other day as well. Will see how long it stays. Also seen: flicker,
house finch, and a sharp-shinned hawk near the VA hospital earlier.
Hope the group going to the Zoo have a good time--I'm leading a
trip to Newport. Perhaps something weird will blow in with tonight's storm.
Find a good bird and share it.

"Well we know where we're going, but we don't know where we've been
And we know what we're knowing, but we can't say what we've seen.
And we're not little children, and we know what we want.
And the future is certain. Give us time to work it out."
