This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline.

Jeff Wisman found an adult MEW GULL and a first winter GLAUCOUS-
WINGED GULL in with a few CALIFORNIA GULLS and many RING-BILLED
GULLS in River Front Park in downtown Spokane on Sunday, November
12.

Monday, November 13, Ken Knittle and Patrick Sullivan located a
HARRIS' SPARROW and an immature TRUMPETER SWAN in
southeastern Franklin County, Washington. The birds were at the boat
launch just north of Lions Ferry State Park. The park is southeast of
Washtucna along Washington 261. See Washington DeLorme p. 55, d-7.

John and Marty Hirth report a MERLIN east of Viola, Idaho, on November
12. The bird was along Four Mile Road. See Idaho DeLorme p. 58, b-1.

At Mann Lake, just east of Lewiston, Idaho, on Saturday, November 11
Dan Svingen reported 10 TUNDRA SWAN, 4 DUNLIN, 1 DOUBLE-
CRESTED CORMORANT, and a single LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER. The
next day the Hirths saw 6 DUNLIN, 5 WESTERN GREBE, and the single
long-billed. To get there, take US 12 west into Lewiston, cross the
Clearwater River via the Memorial Bridge and stay in the left lane. Take
the first left after crossing the bridge onto Main Street toward East
Lewiston. At the blinking light, turn right onto Lindsay Creek Road.
Follow it until it terminates at Grelle Avenue. Turn left onto Grelle and
after Grelle makes a 20 m.p.h. right turn, turn left. Immediately you'll see
a sign for Mann Lake. Continue straight, through the dead end, to the
lake. See Idaho DeLorme p. 54, a-1.

Tom and Diane Weber report the erratic, Pullman, Washington, SNOW
BUNTING is still being seen. It's popping up once a week or so. It was
seen today off off South Street. Call Diane at 509-334-3817 for details
and best guesses.

Earlier this week Bud McCormack spied a NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL at the
end of Rockford Bay on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Rockford Bay is on the west
shore of the lake, and can be accessed off US 95 at milepost 415.8,
about 14 miles south of Coeur d'Alene. See Idaho DeLorme p. 60, half
way between b- and c-1.

Good birding!
