Item #1: Sunday afternoon 12 trumpeters (one with an indecipherable
green neck collar) were in a flooded field north of the Old
Snohomish-Monroe Highway, between Shorts School Road and Lord Hill
Road.

Item #2: Has anyone had a look around Lord Hill (Snohomish) County
Park yet? It only officially opened last month (or 2) and Ive only
been through it once on horseback. It offers about 1300 acres, 600
feet elevation, 6.5 miles of (probably muddy) trails, nine beaver
ponds and basalt cliffs overlooking the Snohomish River.

Item #3: I hope everyone is keeping track of birds seen on Spencer
Island. Steve Mlodinow probably has the most comprehensive list so
please contact him at 206-337-6666 in Everett.
