Feeder watching is probably my main source of bird watching entertainment. I
would be very interested in having some regular chat regarding what common
and uncommon critters are visiting the feeders.

Which brings to mind an event that happened and suprised me very much this
spring. A flock of (20-30) redwing blackbirds stopped for about 45 minutes
and had quite a frenzy at our feeder. Black sunflower seeds were the menu.
Is this common?
