Every once in a while weather conditions are perfect for attracting a
convention of Great Blue Herons to the log booms on the Everett waterfront.
Today at 1 pm there were 34 herons on one log raft - 2 single birds elsewhere.
My record there (some years ago) is over 100 herons on the logs.
