Tweets, Jay Desgrosellier, a Yakima birder reported 12 Bushtits on Cowiche
Creek (Delorme p. 50, T13N R 16E, Sec. 7) on 20 November. This is about 10 air
miles west of Yakima along the east slopes of the Cascades. Outside the known
resident Satus Creek population, this is the largest flock of Bushtits I've
heard of in Yakima County. Seems to me these birds might have originated from
the Cle Elum populations moving south along the Yakima River, then following
Cowiche Creek upstream (west). Bush by bush, Bushttits are colonizing Yakima
County!?
