The wintering bird last year was a P.i.zaboria (A Red Fox Sparrow). I had a
Slaty-type in Vancouver last year, but it was during migration. I think it
was in the fall, but I would have to check my notes. BTW, there is a good
article on how to identify the Fox Sparrow subspecies groups in the latest
Birders Journal (birding magazine from Canada).
