On Friday, September 29th at 4:30 p.m. I was driving south on I-5 and looked
up to see a long line of dark birds flying south. At first I thought they
were crows, but upon closer scrutiny (trying not endanger my life and the
lives of those around me) I ascertained that they were Turkey Vultures.
There were 12 - 15 individuals flying. Looking to the southwest, there was
a kettle of TVs that I estimate contained 20 - 30 individuals. The sighting
took place near Exit 105 (Olympia City Center).
