The thread on bakeries frequented by birders leads me to a request. WOS
is instituting a discount program for its members. The aim is to identify
retailers across the state that would be willing to offer a slight
discount to card-carrying members (or a small donation to WOS on behalf
of members who spend money in their establishments). At the last board
meeting we decided to develop a list of potential retailers who we could
contact for this program. If any tweeters have ideas about specific
retailers (including book stores, bird feed sellers, bakeries, hotels,
restaurants, etc.) that either are "pro-birder" or are frequented by
birders, please contact me with names and possibly numbers. I would also
appreciate any help from WOS members who would like to help investigate
this potential network (especially in places away from the greater
Seattle area).
