During the annual Bald Eagle Conference in Klamath Falls each February,
in some years at least, small tear-off booklets of paper printed
with a statement saying "this patron's business due to the Bald Eagle
Conference" were handed out, with a statement asking folks to leave
one page with each bill paid in a restaurant, etc.

Don't know if it helped soften local attitudes or not, but at least
it made the impact of this conference, attended by roughly 500 folks,
known.
