A small but hardy group gathered for the PAS Ridgefield trip. Highlights
of the day included 3 Pacific Slope Flycatchers, a Black-throated Gray
Warbler, 6 Lincoln's Sparrows, a Fox Sparrow, 3 Greater Yellowlegs,
several Cranes, scores of migrating swallows aoften accompanied by hawks
and vultures (all working the same way), several Yellowthroats, and one
verey late young Song Sparrow (short wings, short tail, a little color
about the bill, and begging). Mnay birds were seen--an enjoyable time
was had.
