I am checking the "facts" for an article I am writing about a trip to the
cascades and I was told that our sighting of a Townsend's Solitaire at 3500
ft was unusual. Can anyone tell me if this is a lower than normal
elevationto find them in June? I saw begging behavior from what I think was
a juvenile, and feeding by another bird but it was foggy and hard to see the
birds clearly. It was assumed that they were nesting nearby. It was June
21st which I thought was too late to be beginning any sort of mating
behavior. I would appreciate an altitude range if one is known. Thanks
