Here's a reminder encouraging you to join us in celebrating People For Puget
Sound's 4th Birthday at our Annual Membership Meeting & Tree Planting,
Saturday, October 14th, at the Festival of the Rivers at Van Doren's Landing
Park in Kent.

We'll have a short and interesting program beginning at 11 AM, then plant
trees to do our part to keep the Green River and Puget Sound healthy.

11:00 am President of the Board Welcome and Introductions
11:10 am Executive Director State of Puget Sound Report
11:30 am Sound & Straits Heroes Award Ceremony
11:50 am The People Speak Member Comments
12:15 pm Prepare For Tree Planting
12:30 - 3 pm Tree Planting
3:00 pm Happy Birthday, People! Cake & Ice Cream Celebration

There will be activities, entertainment and food for the whole family at the
Festival of the Rivers throughout the day right at the site.

If you are joining us for the tree planting, please bring a shovel. We'll
provide the trees!

Van Doren's Landing Park can be reached from Interstate 5 and from Highway
167. From I-5, take the Orillia Road exit (#152). Immediately after crossing
the river, turn right on to Russell Road and look for the park on the west
side of the road. From Highway 167, take the Central Avenue exit and proceed
north to 224th. 224th turns into 228th and then into Russell Road. The park
is on the west side of the road.

Thanks for being a part of People For Puget Sound and for doing your part in
keeping our land and waters healthy. Let me know if I'll see you on Saturday.
