~NowRe: shrikes breeding in Klickitat County.
I believe Fred Dobler - WFWD in Ephrata initiated a Loggerhead Shrike survey
route in eastern Klickitat County. He should be contacted for results of those
surveys. I have seen Loggerheads in the breeding season on the Mabton/Bickleton
Rd., but can't offer any definite info on breeding. There are areas on that
road where Sage Thrashers, Sage, Brewer's and Vesper's Sparrows are common.
Habitat good for shrub-steppe passerines is often good for Loggerhead Shrikes.
