For those Tweeters that did not get to see this species earlier, a Yellow
Wagtail has been found in Central Saanich on Vancouver Island. It is
possibly the same bird that was present here in early September, but is in a
different area.

This one was found Oct. 8 in the daffodil bulb fields between Central Saanich
Rd and Wallace Drive, north of Mt. Newton Crossroad (north of Victoria).
The earlier bird also favoured bulb fields, but was about 3 miles away.

I could not find it Sun. afternoon, and no reports have been received yet
this morning (Mon). I'll update the Victoria RBA as information is received
(604-592- 3381) and will re-post here if it is relocated.

On Oct. 6, 2 Brown Pelicans were 30 miles west of Port Angeles (Washington
side of Juan de Fuca Strait), flying east....seen by 3 boats of whale
watchers.
