Oh, that's not so bad. The timber industry has enlisted the Foresty
Department at Oregon State University to star in some of their ads
down here, touting all the wonderful research and work being done
by the industry to ensure that there will be salmon forever, as long
as we allow the industry free reign to continue their salmon-friendly
harvesting practices.

Of course, we cynics truly believe the impact of timber harvesting on
our landscape is why the Oregon Tourist Board adopted the slogan
"Things Look Different Here" for their campaigns to boost tourism
a couple of years ago.
