How about color squirting them? Micro paintballs, perhaps? This
could be fun and improve the 'ole hand-eye coordination. If we've
got pink and yellow trumpeter swans running around, geese with big
plastic rings around their necks, bears wearing massive radio collars,
raptors with antenna sown on their tails, why a few dayglo bushtits
would barely be noticable!

By squirting paint through a teensy stencil, they could be numbered
at the same time! Or perhaps inkjet printer technology could be adapted
for this. Maybe I should patent this latter idea...

Maybe the group should be renamed the "Bushtit Research And Tagging
Society" - BRATS for short!
