Here's the current list of observed parrot fodder re the Crimson-fronted
Parakeets of north Seattle: apples (on a tree - I have photos), suet (Dennis
has photos), sunflower seeds, maple tree seeds, and fir (cone) seeds...the
latter being based on a long distance observation which could use better
documentation.

And as to the potential impact or political appropriateness of tolerating this
small parakeet contingent, I've always figured their time in our latitudes is
limited, so I continued to enjoy the novelty, knowing a "good" winter will
probably eliminate them.
