Check my Victoria yard off as a positive suet target. Raw beef fat,
unrendered, right off the cutting block, brings them in like a swarm of bees.

Most interesting, though, was the rind and fat of a smoked, cooked ham that
I hung outside about 6 winters ago. The only birds that went near it were
Golden-crowned Kinglets, and they would crawl right inside to get at the
fat. Haven't tried it since...haven't been able to afford a whole ham!
