Declan,

> Oh come on. We all kown you computer types have no problems with cash flow.

Cash flow - no problem. Cash flows in, cash flows out !!!!!

Canada is my first choice as I would expect it to be a bit easier to get into
:-) and besides I'd think a lot of the sanderling we get down here are from
up there. The NE Greenland population most likely migrates down through
Europe. However I fully expect to be proved wrong on this, given there are
color-band sightings of individuals wintering one year on the east coast and
the next on the west. Catching a European or South African banded bird a
Gray's Harbor would be too much of a surprise !!! (a slight unerstatement I
think )

Wrangell Isand is my Holy Grail of destinations. The price is rather high at
the moment, though I am looking into it. Waiting another 5 or 10 years won't
be too hard. The guys from Grampian Ringing Group in Aberdeen, Scotland have
been waiting for about 8 years to get into Taimyr. It currently costs more
personal computers and US dollars than we can afford. That will change -
hopefully.

Are you going to the workshop on westerns ? Nils Warnock was saying that I
should tell them I'm working with him. Does this mean that non-academics are
treated with distain. If it's going to be time for a wake up call !!! I
hopefully will get Katies thesis memorized so I can ask some (im)pertinent
questions :-)

See ya,

Stuart
