Hi Tweeters,

I am 90% sure I saw a Townsend's Warbler in my yard yesterday.
The bird had a bold yellow head with wide bands of olive running
from base of beak over the head. An olive band ran right through
the eye. The back half of the bird was a completely different
color - greyish with white highlights. The bird was in a
small ornamental tree apparently eating insects, completely
ignoring my large feeder in the same tree. I believe I also
glimpsed the bird on a previous day poking around a large
conifer.

I hope he returns today so I can get a positive i.d.

Is this a common warbler for this area? Will he stick around
for the winter?
