I'd like to apologize (in advance, before reading my mailbox) for
the stridency of my response to Gene's letter on gillnetting.

I do believe that proponents within the conservation community
are being politically naive, but didn't need to be so cranky
about it. Not enough sleep after spending all Thursday chasing
the bar-tailed godwit then attending a PAS Board meeting, I
guess.
