The red-breasted sapsuckers were seen along Route 12, directly across from
the Silver Beach Resort on Rimrock Lake. There was quite a bit of bird
activity there (Golden-crowned kinglets, r-b nuthatches). We also have a
record of one at Leech Lake (at White Pass) 10/8/93. When we looked this
record up it was interesting to observe that these records are both in
October as we have birded that area year round.
