I think I'm writing such a message every other month, but here I go again...

It is good internet practice not to cite all the message you are replying
to, as well as putting your text *after* the part of the message which
elicited the reply.

One of the last message on the I640 thread was more than 200 lines long, with
less than 10 lines from the replier...

On the other hand, some messages lack complete reference to the message they
are replying to (besides the title), and that's not better practice...


I don't pretend to be "hollier-than-thou" (see how my english is
improving :-), for this message is not very good either, as far as bandwidth
vs. information content. Moreover, I often "mis-post" messages in tweeters
which are primarily destined to particular people...

However, I think that every sender (including me, see above :-) should have
this "policy" in mind when replying to a message on tweeters, and in any
newsgroup or mailing-list for that matter.
