Clouds of shorebirds on the beach at Ocean Shores:

30 - 40,000 dunlin including 2 color banded birds - but I didn't get enough
time to read to complete combinations :'-(

2 red knot
12 short-billed dowitchers
thousands of western sandpipers
piles of black bellied plover

Sorry about the lack of count info. The birds were scattered along a mile of
beach and were very jumpy. Maybe I should just video-tape the proceedings and
sit down and count them later.

Not a peregrine in sight - it was great !!!!!!
