I got a great view of a beautiful adult Golden Eagle yesterday
(October 24th), flying west on 520 toward Lake Washington with an
escort of three crows in attendance. Are they very common in the
Seattle area? Having come here from Salt Lake City, where Goldens are
common and Bald Eagles fairly rare until midwinter, I expected to see
_all_ Bald Eagles in this area (I thought the Golden Eagle was more of
a dry-land raptor). Anyway, it was a great (and impressive) sight.
