There may be some uncertainty on how to vote on I-640, but it is clear that
if R-48 passes, we will have lost the ability to protect wetlands and
wildlife habitat in Washington. The outcome of this vote is far from
certain. The latest polling indicates that 1/3 of all voters are undecided
(i.e. don't know what this is all about.) The supporters of the referendum
(developers, timber companies) are planning a media blitz in the week before
the election. The only way we can effectively counter it is through
grassroots action!! I hope that you can find a couple of hours between now
and the election to leaflet a key precinct in your area or do some calls to
get out the vote.
