"DOS"? What is this "DOS"?

Now this sounds useful to me!

It is a curiousity of the modern world & state of technology that
some of us who make our living at it are shut out of much of the
(extremely good!) software available for PC/Dos systems. Often such
software is available for the Unix world (MY world) but at high cost.
Conversely, the PC/Dos world just doesn't quite offer the oomph/environment
required for some heavy-duty real-world tasks.

So, there's a barrier.

But, there's also paper :)

Or I could buy a PC but paper sounds cheaper...

Thanks for the information.
