Chalk up another vote for the wide-ranging news, views, and opinions seen
on tweeters. I don't like the idea of restricting topics.

And thank you, Lisa; I, too, want to see all those posts on birds from
all those tweets out there!

To try to get back to birds, though (always fun) all I can think of to
relate is that I felt sorry for the little Sanderling I saw hopping around
on one foot last Sunday. I was wondering how long he/she would last in the
big bad world, when he/she apparently tired of hopping on one foot and put
down his/her other one. After that, I enjoyed watching many shore birds
hopping on one foot, apparently conserving heat.
