Loads fewer shorebirds on the beach:

15,000 dunlin
2-300 black-bellied plover
2 short-billed dowitchers
sanderling - no.s in the low hundreds
2 peregrines

The best sites to see the roosts is south of Pacific Blvd. about 2 miles
south of central Ocean Shores. The peregrines were hassling the birds a lot so
the roosts moved about quite a bit - but not too far.

Really neat passage of geese down the coast. In between digging up polychaete
worms, I saw about 5-600 in 6 different flock. Including 120 greater
white-fronted geese, 30 'cackling' canada geese - the rest were too far away
to tell. They weren't snow geese though.
