After years of focusing my birding outings in the S.W. Washington/N.W. Oregon
area, I have to start learning the "Best Places" in the Seattle area. This
coming Saturday (looks like clear weather) I plan to spend the day searching
out new areas. Any suggestions within a 50 mile range of Issaquah? (I have
visited the Everett STP previously).

Any help appreciated.

A couple of weeks ago a friend and I
went to Snake Lake Nature Reserve
near Tacoma. What a neat place --
saw a Red crossbill and about 20
pairs of wood ducks, among other
birds in the area. It's a pretty
place with trails and easy to
find...it's right near Cheney
Stadium.

I want to go back in the spring
because I think it will be full of
warblers.
