Tweeters!

Judy and I just got back from a two day trip through the Gray's Harbor/
Ocean Shores/Westport/Tokeland area. The highlight, amidst the plethoras
of Pelicans and Plovers, and the myriads (over 500) of Marbled Godwits
(but no Bar-tailed), not to mention the Surfbirds, Turnstones, Wandering
Tattlers, Whimbrels, Long-billed Curlews and numerous assorted peeps,
was the single STILT SANDPIPER seen and photographed at the freshwater
pond on Damon Point on Thrusday, Aug. 31 - alone and in the company of
a Greater Yellowlegs.

Nineteen shorebird species, whales spouting off Westport on Thursday
evening, topped off with the Ruff at Montlake Fill this morning, and the
weekend is just beginning!
