Progress on Sunday can be only described as remarkable. About two thirds of
the north side of the pond has been cleared. It's quite a tranformation with
literally acres (OK slight exaggeration) of mud now exposed. If you were
impressed before, you will be astounded now - come down and check it out.

We hope to get the main pond completely clear by the end of the month. So if
you've thought about getting involved now's your chance before all those PI
and Earthcare Northwest readers flock down to help - if only, SIGH !!!!

Weather permitting, I'll be down at Montlake Fill pulling loosetrife every
evening this week from about 5.30pm till dusk.

I was kind of hoping our first cool bird was going to be something I hadn't
seen before, something like a long-toed stint rather than a ruff, ah well :-)

PS. If anybody still has a copy of the PI article I'd be interested in seeing it.
