I am astounded at this. Reading of this in Bryan's post from Victoria BC
when I came home this evening was literally the first I've heard of this
sighting. I hope it's confirmed. I'm sorry I didn't hear of it before: if I
had, you all would have had the word much sooner. Again, my apologies for
exceedingly poor service.

My understanding is that one of the Vancouver Alert machines has been
repaired, is at someone's house, and I have been awaiting its delivery to my
house for the last four days. When it arrives, I can re-institute the
long-overdue resumption of the Vancouver Bird Alert service.
