We can always tell when its ALMOST time to pick the peaches and apricots by
when the House Finches have them half eaten. We then get the other half.

However, if this really bothers anyone, such as if money depends upon it,
most of the cherry growers in Wenatchee hang shiny mylar strips in their
orchards. Supposedly this scares away the birds. I've also heard that it
works for flickers and other woodpeckers who might be excauvating your home
cedar siding.
