Any suggestions out there in Tweeter land regarding woodpecker damage?
One of the owners of a restaurant here in Bellingham asked me for
advice to stop a Pileated Woodpecker from excavating on (his?) house.

This is not the only time I've heard of this problem around here.
In one case, a few years ago, a man was bragging that he shot a
Pileated Woodpecker doing damage to his house.
