Back in South Carolina, where I grew up, my Grandmothers house in
Kershaw, would have thousands of Chimney Swifts roosting in her chimney.
Our family made a routine out of sitting out behind the house in the
evenings and watch with amazment, this huge flock of birds fit down my
grandmothers tiny-winy chimney.
