Oops..should have included this in the last post..oh, well..

I was returning to the freeway exit Airdustrial Way from the Olympia
Airport when I an accipiter went right over the front end of my car
chasing a bird. I pulled over, nearly causing a wreck, and got my bins
out as they disappeared around a small fir grove, only to emerge
about 5 or 10 seconds later with the Sharpie out front and two birds
in hot pursuit!! The Sharpie started ringing up and the little birds
began *arcing* is..she flared out her nice square-ended tail for me
a couple of times before the little birds took off. This must have
been a Juvie on its way down to see Don..
Sorry, no ID on the two tormenting birds..thought they might have
been swallows, but they didn't quite fly like 'em..

One of the finest winter things to see are the Merlins going after Dunlin..

That has to be one of the most impressive *ballets* one can see
as the Dunlin ball up in defense and continually *flash* the
viewer..
