I'll be signing off Tweeters on Sunday for a couple of weeks, to return
when we have settled into our new digs in Issaquah. After three years of
retirement, I decided to accept a three to nine month appointment in my
chosen profession. I'm looking forward to visiting some of the area
birding spots I have been reading about the last two years. Also, perhaps
at a Loosestrife pull, getting to meet some of you.

I visited the Montlake Fill on Tuesday for the first time. Found the
loosestrife piles. At high noon in the hot sun, the only birds around
were goldfinches feeding on the thistles.
