Well I just wandered out into the back yard after seven straight days in the
hotel and convention center and the first thing I saw under my recently
refilled feeder was the first junco of the season. I hope this weather holds.
I feel like I missed Summer.

The conference was great, lots of kudos for WPZG from our peers, including
the best exhibit award for the Northern Trail. To keep a bird thread, the
exhibit includes Snowy Owls, Red Crossbills, Bald Eagles and two Tony Angel
Ravens.

Dennis, during the award ceremony Dave Towne recognized Jon Coe who designed
the exhibit, first time a zoo director has done that. It brought tears to
Jon's eyes.

The only other bird ''thread" was the penguin outfit I had to wear. I
thought they were going to make me serve dessert.

Glad to be back Tweets.
